Examples
- Fractions like [latex]\frac{2}{3}[/latex], [latex]\frac{3}{4}[/latex], [latex]\frac{5}{13}[/latex] and [latex]\frac{8}{19}[/latex] are simplified fractions.
- The fraction [latex]\frac{8}{18}[/latex] is not a simplified fraction because the number 2 is a whole common divisor for 8 and 18. Therefore, the equivalent simplified fraction to [latex]\frac{8}{18}[/latex] is the fraction [latex]\frac{4}{9}[/latex] which is simplified.
