Sometimes, we use the expression
probable event instead of
possible event.
Examples
In the random experiment that consists of rolling an honest die with 6 faces numbered 1 to 6, the event that consists of rolling a number greater than 2 includes 4 possible results: {3, 4, 5, 6}.
In the random experiment that consists of drawing a ball from a bag that contains red, blue, and yellow balls, the event that consists of drawing a ball that is not yellow has 2 possible results: {red, blue}.
These two events are possible.
