The base unit to measure capacity is the litre.
Properties
- 1 litre is equal to 1000 millilitres and we write: 1 L = 1000 ml.
- 1 hectolitre is equal to 100 litres and we write: 1 hl = 100 L.
- 1 kilolitre is equal to 1000 litres and we write: 1 kl = 1000 L.
