Cotangent Function

Function f of {x ∈ [latex]\mathbb{R}[/latex]  | xkπ where k ∈ [latex]\mathbb{Z}[/latex]} in [latex]\mathbb{R}[/latex] defined f(x) = [latex]\dfrac{1}{\textrm{tan}(x)}[/latex].

Notation

The cotangent function is noted as “cot(x)” and is read as “cotangent of x.” We sometimes see the notation “cotg(x)” to indicate “cotangent of x.
