Ensemble formé de tous les résultats possibles d’une expérience aléatoire. Cet évènement va toujours se produire.
Properties
- The probability of a certain event is 1.
- An event with a frequential or experimental probability that is very close to 1 can be called an event that is almost certain.
Examples
- We drew a ball from a bag in which there are 100 black balls. The event that consists of drawing a black ball is a certain event.
- We drew a ball from a bag in which there were 99 black balls and 1 white ball. The event that consists of drawing a black ball is an event that is almost certain.
