If the experimental probability of an event in a random experiment is close to 0, we say that this event is nearly impossible.

Examples

  • We are drawing a ball from a bag in which there are 100 black balls. The event that consists of drawing a white ball is an impossible event.
  • We are drawing a ball from a bag in which there are 99 black balls and one white ball. The event that consists of drawing a white ball is a nearly impossible event.
