The range in a relation ℜ is noted as Range(ℜ) and is read as “range of ℜ“.
Examples
- Consider the relation defined by ℜ(x) = x + 3 in N .
The range of this relation is: {3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, …}. - Consider the relation defined by ℜ(x) = x + 5 in Z .
