Class of non-convex quadrilaterals that have two pairs of adjacent congruent sides.

A deltoid is sometimes called a chevron.

  • The diagonals of a deltoid are perpendicular to each other.
  • A deltoid has an axis of symmetry that contains one of the diagonals of the figure.
    The other diagonal is located outside the figure.

Formula

The area A of a deltoid with diagonals d and D is : A = (d × D) ÷ 2.
