Polyhedron whose faces are congruent.
Regular polyhedrons are disphenoids, but many disphenoids are not regular. Such structures are often found in nature in the formation of certain crystals.
Examples
A regular tetrahedron is a tetragonal disphenoid.
This snub disphenoid has 12 equilateral triangular faces. It is not a regular polyhedron, as it cannot be inscribed in a sphere.
This disphenoid has 20 equilateral triangular faces. It is a regular polyhedron.
