Truncated Pyramid

A polyhedron obtained by cutting a pyramid with a plane that is not parallel to its base and that intersects all its generatrices.

Of the two resulting polyhedra, that which does not contain the apex of the pyramid is called a truncated pyramid.
If the plane that cuts the pyramid is parallel to the base, the truncated pyramid is called a frustum of a pyramid.
