- The segments MP and NQ are medians of the quadrilateral ABCD.
- The segments AB and CD are the medians of rectangle ABCD.
- The segment AB is the median of the trapezoid CDEF below, and it passes through the midpoints G and H of the diagonals of the trapezoid.
