Locating Objects or Points on an Axis

Determining the location (address) of an object or a point on a number line. This address is generally called the x-coordinate of the point.

Examples

  • The x-coordinate of point A is 30 and the x-coordinate of point B is 50.
  • The x-coordinate of the fly's position is 20 and the x-coordinate of the ladybug's position is 55.
