The links provided here are resources that are intended to complement or supplement the content offered in our glossary. There are abundant math content resources on the Internet for all academic levels; the suggestions proposed here are not exhaustive nor are they arranged in any particular order regarding quality. They simply reflect our desire to serve our primary and secondary student customer base as best we can.

  • Acromath
    A free semi-annual journal produced by the l’Institut des sciences mathématiques and Centre de recherches mathématiques.
    Primarily intended for students and teachers in secondary school and Cégep, this journal is distributed free of change in all secondary schools and all Cégeps in Quebec. (Resource available in French only)
  • C’est mathématique
    Designed to accompany the television series “C’est mathématique!” broadcast on TFO and ZTélé, www.cmathematique.com is much more than a popularization tool: it’s a portal that brings together all of the cyber-community’s interests in mathematics. (Resource available in French only)
  • Carrés magiques : nouveaux horizons
    Site designed by Claude Bégin, dealing with all the fun and mathematical aspects of magic squares, in addition to offering many problems with their construction. The site also offers new developments in this area.
  • L’encyclopédie scientifique en ligne
    A glossary of definitions from the encyclopedia Wikipedia under the GNU FDL licence.
    The Mathematics section provides very detailed definitions of math terms as they are written by the authors of the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia. These definitions often go beyond the educational scope that we set for ourselves in the glossary published by Netmath. As a whole, they are more suited to European schools.   • Les Mathématiques magiques malicieuses et… très sérieuses
    The site of teacher Thérèse Éveilleau. It includes research references regarding the history of mathematics and many other fun things. (Resource available in French and partially in English)
  • Une balade dans le monde des polyèdres
    This site offers definitions, a classification and excellent illustrations of every polyhedron imaginable. (Resource available in French only)
  • Netmath
    A platform where students can learn and teachers can manage their classes. Math activities for primary and secondary schools from the upper elementary levels (grades 3 and 4) to the 5th year of secondary school (grade 11).
  • Récréomath
    A site dedicated to recreational math hosted by Charles-É. Jean, a math and edutainment enthusiast. (Resource available in French only)
