Example

Consider rolling an honest die with six faces numbered 1 to 6.
Consider the event “A: rolling a number greater than 4”.
The possible outcomes of this random experiment are {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}.
The favourable outcomes for event A are {5, 6}.
