Coordinate System

Set of the appropriate symbols and rules that make it possible to locate points or positions in a given space.
A coordinate system is a structured system of appropriate mathematical symbols and elements as well as rules that govern these symbols and elements that make it possible to locate objects like points, regions, etc. in a given space.

Example

The Cartesian plane is a coordinate system that makes it possible to represent and locate mathematical objects in a two-dimensional space. The coordinates of point A are (6, 2).
