Operations

Base of an Exponentiation

The first element in an exponentiation operation (or in raising to a power).
In the exponentiation [latex]b^n[/latex], the number [latex]b[/latex] is the base and the number [latex]n[/latex] is the exponent.

Example

In the exponentiation 25 = 32, the number 2 is the base, the number 5 is the exponent and the number 32 is the result (called the power).
