Kilometre

Unit of measure of length that is equivalent to 1000 metres.

  • One kilometre is equivalent to about 0.621 371 10 miles.
  • Kilometre is a multiple of metre that is most frequently used to measure distances (for example: between cities). We define the kilometric points along communication channels, which appears on roads as road boundary markers that we also call kilometric boundary markers.
