Convex Polygon

Polygon that lies entirely in a half-plane defined by any of its edges.
A straight line drawn through a convex polygon will cross at most two sides.

  • Any polygon with at least one interior angle that is re-entrantis a non-convex polygon. This type of polygon is sometimes called a concave polygon.
  • All interior angles of a convex polygon are salient angles.
