Numerical or algebraic symbol or set of symbols (constants or variables) that can be related to one another with operation symbols.

Algebraic expressions are composed of terms that may include fixed numerical values or variable numerical values represented by letters. The terms are separated by operations of addition or subtraction.

  • The expression 4x\({y}^{2}\) − 3abx is an algebraic expression that contains two terms.
